THREE drama performances focused upon hate crime will be performed by Partners Theatre Company, a group of disabled actors, this month.
Standing Out is a 15-minute mask and mime show and will be performed at the Wyvern Theatre on Monday, June 9 at 12.55pm, DHL Iceland distribution centre, in Penzance Drive on Friday, June 13, at 11.30am, and AFL Telecommunications in Newcombe Drive on Monday, June 16 at 1.45pm.
The performance will address what hate crime is, how it occurs and how its incidence and impact can be reduced.
Partners Theatre Company has been based at the Wyvern Theatre for over 20 years. It develops original productions with its own music and dance elements.
Reach Inclusive Arts, which supports Partners, employs experienced arts professionals, who facilitate the group to record and express their ideas and feelings creatively.
The shows Partners produce tour secondary schools in the local area.
The company tackles difficult issues which have affected its members’ lives while maintaining high entertainment values.
