Police appeal for witnesses after attempted robbery

WILTSHIRE Police have called witnesses to come forward following an attempted robbery in Swindon.

The incident took place on Cricklade Road between 7.30pm and 7.45pm on Tuesday May, 27.

Two youths approached the victim, a 16-year-old male, and made threats to harm him unless he handed over his bag.

A passing car stopped and the female passenger asked the victim if he would like a lift home after seeing he needed assistance. The victim accepted the lift and the two suspects promptly left the area.

The first male is described as white, approximately 6ft tall, aged between 17 and 18 with blonde hair.

The second male was on a bike and is described as white, between 5ft 5ins - 5ft 6ins tall, approximately 15 years old and had short brown hair.
