Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Plymouth at the weekend.
A couple were walking from the Southway Pub area towards Lundy Close at around 12.50am on Saturday, June 21 when a man appeared in front on them as they entered an alleyway.
The man, who was not known to them, made a comment to the couple and the victim asked him to leave them alone. The man then threw the 38-year-old male victim against the wall violently.
The victim suffered serious injuries including a broken arm in three places, a swollen left ankle and a cut to the rear of his head.
The offender then left the scene. He is described as white, around 30, 5ft 7ins, of slim build with short hair.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information that could assist the investigation, is asked to call police on 101 quoting CR/083292/14.
