A man and teenage woman are to face trial by judge and jury accused of carrying out a serious assault.

Katie Barrett, 18, and Byron Thomas, 24, pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm when they appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

The pair, both from Royal Wootton Bassett, are alleged to have assaulted a man on Friday, March 21.

Recorder Maria Lamb adjourned the case to Friday, September 26, and released Barrett, of Middle Ground, and Thomas, of Tanners Close, on bail until then.
