A 61-year-old biker was taken to hospital shortly after morning rush hour yesterday after colliding with a car at Bruce Street Bridges.

The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries, and rapid response vehicles, ambulance and police attended the scene in Rodbourne, Swindon.

Wiltshire Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to contact them if they have any information that may assist with their enquiries.

A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service said: “We were called to the scene of a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist at 9.06am.

“A 61-year-old man came off his motorcycle on the Bruce Street Bridges.

“He suffered minor injuries.

“Medication was given to help stem the flow of blood and he was removed from the scene at around 9.30am and taken to Great Western Hospital where he was reported to be in a stable condition.”

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: “Anyone who witnessed this incident is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.”
