PEOPLE are being urged to take part in the Walk for Freedom at Peatmoor Lagoon and Forest on July 20 to help raise money for Animals Asia.
From 11am, families, friends and colleagues are urged to take the three mile walk to help raise the funds to convert a bear bile farm in Nanning, China into a bear sanctuary.
A spokesman from the Swindon branch of Animals Asia said: “Every step you take, every pound you raise will help Animals Asia open the doors of this bear bile farm to the world and show it can be changed into a beautiful sanctuary where the bears will be able to live in a cruelty free, happy and enriched environment.”
Money raised will go towards the Peace by Piece campaign to help end the suffering of hundreds of animals.
Registration is a minimum of £10, but sponsorship money raised over this figure will waive the fee.
