WILTSHIRE’S own TV chef, Peter Vaughan, has been announced as a patron for local charity Splash as it celebrates its 25th year supporting young people in the county.

Peter has been involved with the charity for several years providing expert advice and tuition on food-related projects for Splash.

Having recently attended their Friends Of Splash get together to celebrate 25 years, Peter said: “I love this small charity that does such fantastic work with young people in Wiltshire who are facing challenges in their lives.

“I have seen first-hand the positive impact Splash projects have on building self esteem and confidence and equipping these young people with essential life skills.”

Next month, Peter will be leading a Splash project which will involve a foraging expedition in Savernake Forest. The group will search for ingredients for the Wiltshire flavoured drinks and canapés that Peter is creating for the Splash celebration event Inspire.

The celebration will take place on October 10, at Marlborough Town Hall To book tickets visit www.splash-wiltshire.org.uk email the team splash@wiltshire.police.uk or call the Splash office on 01380 734106.
