A MAN accused of allowing his house to be used for the attempted production of a former legal high has been released on bail by a judge.
Alexei White is said to have allowed the attempted production of a methylmeth- cathinone derivative – methcathinone – which is also known as ephedrone.
Allegedly it took place at White’s home in Penhill between January and April this year.
No charge was formally put to the 29-year-old, of Melksham Close, and he did not enter any plea during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court.
The drug known as ‘Jeff’ or ‘Cat’ in street slang is a psychoactive stimulant similar to methamphetamine.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday, October 10 and released Whyte on unconditional bail.
