TRAINS running through Swindon in and out of London Paddington are now running at a full service after a person was hit by a train at Ealing Broadway this afternoon.

The incident occurred shortly before 3.30pm and has played havoc with rail services in and out of the capital this afternoon.

In the last few minutes First Great Western confirmed it had reopened all its lines to and from London and residual delays would slowly work themselves out over the next hour or so.

Ticket restrictions have been lifted for all passengers today and any tickets today will be valid for travel tomorrow.

Passengers had been queuing at platforms in Swindon as a result of the disruption.

First Great Western tickets remain valid on South West Trains between London Waterloo and Windsor or Reading, on London Midland routes, as well as CrossCountry services between Banbury, Oxford, Reading and Basingstoke.
