POPULAR Old Town salon owner Drew Carlton has died, aged 41.

Mr Carlton, who died on July 14, ran Future Lengths based in Victoria Road. The salon, which opened in 2012, specialises in providing hair replacements for people suffering from alopecia or the effects of chemotherapy.

The stylist, originally from Royal Wootton Bassett, worked in the hair extension industry for 22 years and trained at Antenna in London. He was a former student of Wootton Bassett Comprehensive.

Before setting up his own salon, Mr Carlton worked at What Women Want, which is also in Victoria Road.

Mr Carlton’s parents are Helen and Cyril. He was a brother to Debbie and uncle to Carl and Ryan.

His funeral is being held at Kingsdown Crematorium at 11.15am on Wednesday. Mr Carlton’s loved-ones have asked that only family flowers be left during the service.

Anyone wishing to make a donation in Mr Carlton’s memory is asked to give money to animal charity Heart Hounds. This can be done by ringing funeral director Johnson and Daltrey on 01793 851400.
