INSWINDON has announced that the Big Screen at Wharf Green will be broadcasting another Last Night of the Proms live for the eighth consecutive year.

Tickets to the Royal Opera House are expensive, but residents can witness the outstanding performances from the comfort of their very own town centre, which has proven to be a great hit in previous years due to the excellent turnout and fantastic atmosphere.

A spokesman said: “Last year we housed an excellent crowd, yet could this year’s festivities top that of 2013?

“It is a general consensus that the show will be the next best thing to actually being at the venue for the climax of the Proms season, which is annually shown on millions of TV screens around the world.

“The much awaited evening will begin at 6pm with pre-show entertainment from Nathan Jones and his All Star Jazz Band, before the live feed gets underway at 7.30pm.

“We will also welcome Eleanor Williams to the stage at the half time interval.

“We encourage you to bring your own seating, food and beverages and fly your flag with pride.”

If you would like to attend the free screening, email tickets@ inswindon.com, stating how many tickets you would like, with ‘Last Night of the Proms’ as the subject.
