ASIAN restaurant chain wagamama is heading to Swindon - and is set to bring 50 new jobs.

The national chain will be opening its 109th restaurant at Swindon Outlet Centre on Monday, September 15, becoming the only wagamama within a 20-mile radius of the town.

The branch will also boast an outdoor dining area and will also be the first wagamama housed inside a grade II-listed building, part of the outlet centre’s renovation of the former Great Western Railway works.

General manager of the branch, Roger Thomas, said staff were looking forward to bringing the restaurant’s menu of pan-Asian dishes to Swindon.

“It is a great place to be, especially as we know we have lots of excited wagamama fans eagerly awaiting our opening,” he said.

As well as offering a venue for shoppers to dine, the restaurant also offers take-away dishes which can be ordered via the wagamama iPhone app, website, over the phone, or from walk-in customers.
