Dave Haines, of Stratton, Swindon, was riding his motorcycle on the A420 near Chippenham on June 7, 2004, when he was involved in an accident and was flown to hospital by the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
He suffered serious injuries to his left leg and is still recovering.
His is the fourth video released by the air ambulance charitable trust to tie in with National Air Ambulance Week, which started on Monday.
The charity gets new helicopter in December 2014 when its current partnership with Wiltshire Police ends.
It will cost £2.5 million a year to keep the air ambulance flying – £6,850 a day – the same amount the charity is hoping to raise each day during air ambulance week.
