NEW College Swindon will be opening its doors to potential new students for its School Leavers’ Open Day on October 11.

The college will be offering school leavers’ and their parents the opportunity to take a closer look at the college and talk to lecturers and current learners about the different courses and activities on offer.

Prospective students will be able to find out more about the 63 AS/A Level subjects on offer which are taught by dedicated and highly qualified tutors within a friendly and diverse environment.

Visitors will also be able to learn about practical and career courses, including the range of BTECs, Vocational courses, Diplomas and work-based learning including NVQs and Apprenticeships. There will also be information available on GCSEs, Level 2 and Foundation Learning courses.

Amanda Walton, head of marketing and customer services at New College, said: “We offer the full student package, with 63 A-Levels to choose from, fantastic facilities, enrichment courses and a high standard of teaching. We have great pass rates – our Summer 2014 A Level pass rate was 97 per cent and 39 per cent of entries achieved an A*, A or B grade.

“Over 500 students went to University in the autumn, including destinations such as Bath, Cardiff, Southampton, UWE and Bristol. ”
