THOMSON last week welcomed the first customers into its newly refurbished holiday design store in Swindon, where Mayor Teresa Page officially opened the shop for business.

The new-look store boasts many technological advances including an 84 inch touch screen interactive map designed to inspire customers.

It was introduced to Swindon for the first time following its successful implementation in newly fitted Thomson shops around the country.

Customers can choose how they want to be served in the store, whether at the advice bar, where staff are on hand to answer quick questions and help with brochures or at the self-service computer which offer access to websites and reviews, as well as destination, excursion and visa information.

There are also private booths available, where advisors bring the holiday experience to life with the use of inspirational holiday imagery on oversized screens.

The new Holiday Design Store also features all of the usual facilities customers can expect from a Thomson store including a foreign currency exchange.

Shop manager Katie Goddard, said: “We were thrilled to have Councillor Teresa Page open the doors of our newly refurbished store. We are looking forward to welcoming customers and seeing how they enjoy the all-new experience.”
