THE winners of the Swindon Advertiser’s Baby of the Year competition were presented with their trophies yesterday.
Bonny baby Rhys Evans, who won first place in the competition which is sponsored by Persimmon Homes, won his parents Glyn and Danielle Evans a £500 cheque, a canvas print, trophy and certificate.
The three-month-old won the top spot out of 150 babies.
Speaking at the time the winner was announced, Danielle, 25, said: “We were thrilled when we heard. I got a phone call and I called my husband straight after and just said, guess who rang? He knew straight away I was talking about the Adver and the competition.”
The runners-up in the competition were Xavier Hynes, of Moredon, and Amelia McCulloch, of Park South. They each won £250, a canvas print, trophy and certificate.
They were presented with their winnings at the Persimmon Homes showhome in Cloatley Crescent, in Royal Wootton Bassett, this week.
