A FALCON which went missing after escaping from his cage has been found safe and well.
Jura, the three-year-old Saker Falcon disappeared from Cliff Lee's back garden last Monday.
As reported in the Adver last week, the bird of prey had pecked through his cage in The Buntings, Covingham before flying off leaving falconer Cliff concerned for his safety.
But the imposing bird was spotted earlier this week by staff working on the Dorcan Industrial Estate.
A relieved Cliff, said: "I had lots of people ringing me up after seeing the article in the Adver so it was a great response.
"They all said they had seen a bird of prey, but unfortunately it wasn't mine.
"Jura was actually found on the Dorcan Industrial Estate, so not too far away. He was on some kind of perch.
"It's great to have him back."
