A 78-year-old man has died following a road traffic collision in Royal Wootton Bassett.
The incident took place at 5.25pm last night outside The Old Nick pub on Station Road when a grey Fiat Punto was in collision with a pedestrian from Royal Wootton Bassett.
A police spokesman said: "The 78-year-old was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon with life threatening injuries but sadly died this morning as a result of his injuries.
"Wiltshire Police would like to hear from anyone who was on Station Road last night immediately before the incident or anyone who may have witnessed the collision."
