AN investigation is under way into a group of North Swindon youths who have been selling stolen bottles of perfume with one arrest having been made so far.

PCSO Ashlee John followed up on some suspicious activity while out on foot patrol in Haydon Wick and found someone selling perfume from a pub car park.

The bottles of Paco Rabanne and Ralph Lauren fragrances, and possibly others, are being sold via social media. Anyone with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Youths attacked a 55-year-old man in Walcot on Thursday afternoon.

Three boys assaulted the man in Sussex Square before fleeing, accompanied by three other youths.

The facial injuries inflicted were so severe an ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital for treatment. Anyone with information is asked to contact the force on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Officers from the neighbourhood policing team have recovered a bike along with others following an arrest of a suspect on December 14 in West Swindon

Police would like to return the 2014 model Giant Defy road bike, valued at £500, to its owner. Contact police on 101 quoting crime reference 54140107101.

Police are appealing for information after a motorbike was stolen from a garage in Stratton Road.

The Suzuki DRZ 400 SNK6 was taken some time overnight between Monday and Tuesday, December 1 and 2. Anyone with information should contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Firefighters put out a wheelie bin fire in Fairfax Close at 3.30pm on Thursday.

A crew from Swindon Fire Station dealt with the incident. Any witnesses to the fire can call Wiltshire Police on 101.

A car collided with a pump at the Texaco petrol station, in Marlborough Road, Coate, at 6.45pm on Thursday. There was a fuel spillage and pumps were turned off. A fire crew attended and helped clear the scene.

Firefighters were called to The Golfing Hole, in Mead Way, Westmead, at 7.55pm on Wednesday after a faulty lighting fitting caused smoke in the premises.
