THE body of a 60-year-old woman has been found at her home in Swindon after concerned neighbours reported to police their concerns for her welfare.
Officers went to Crombey Street on Sunday at about 6.30pm after a member of the public raised concerns over the woman.
On arrival they discovered the woman’s body and forensics teams were called in to conduct investigations. She was taken from the home at about 10pm.
Police have confirmed that they are not treating her death as suspicious.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: “Wiltshire Police were called by a member of the public regarding concerns for the welfare of a 60-year old woman from Swindon.
“As a result, officers attended an address in Crombey Street, Swindon, at 6.30pm on January 25, 2015, where the body of a 60-year-old woman was discovered.
“Her death is not being treated as suspicious. A report is being prepared for the coroner’s office.”
