Be ready for delays as two specialised load transporters carrying Boeing 747 aircraft fuselages will be escorted by Wiltshire Police in convoy from Cotswold Airport, Kemble, on Saturday, February 14.

Each transporter and its load will measure 6.55 metres (22ft) wide, 4.95 m (16ft-03ins) high with an overall length of 41.66 m (137 ft) and gross weight of 60 tonnes.

The two will be travelling from Cotswold Airport to Hereford, from about 7am.

Due to the size of these transporters they will be slow moving and could create congestion.

Wiltshire Police say wherever possible disruption will be kept to a minimum but hauliers and motorists are asked to please be patient if they come across this load.

Anyone travelling over this period to catch a flight, or meet appointments, should allow additional time.

Once on the A419 these loads will be slow moving and will take up the entire southbound carriageways.

Regular updates and travel information will be passed from the police control room at Devizes to help motorists plan their journey.

The transporters will begin their journey 7am from Cotswold Airport, Kemble, in convoy.

They will depart Kemble on the A429 before travelling south on the A419 to arrive at M4 junction 15, before continuing Westbound on the M4.

And the similar loads will be transported on Saturday, February 21.

Police escorts are being provided by volunteer police officers on rest days, paid for by the haulier at no cost to the public.
