MULTIDISCIPLINARY, life-long learning is at the very heart of Chiseldon Primary School and informs its driving ethos.

Pupils have an opportunity to learn a wide variety of different things alongside literacy and maths.

Founded on traditional British values including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance, teaching at Chiseldon is embedded with values-based learning.

On its website headteacher Spencer Allen says: “Our vision is ‘to facilitate life-long learning that pulses through the heart of our community; creating an atmosphere where every learner is valued and reaches their full potential – inspiring generations’.

“Here at Chiseldon Primary School we welcome children, their parents and carers into a friendly, happy and hardworking environment where respect for others, positive attitudes towards work and behaviour are encouraged and nurtured.

“Chiseldon Primary is a school where all children are valued and all staff work hard to help every child reach his or her full potential.

“All members of staff here at Chiseldon Primary School, both teaching and non- teaching, are committed to providing a broad, balanced and relevant education for all the children within a supportive and caring environment. They seek to build the self-esteem of all children through a policy of equal opportunity.

“The governing body is very supportive of the school and works in close partnership.”

As well as having the chance to take part in a number of different sports clubs, children can also join the fish club, library club, or show and tell.

The school is also well on the way to being considered outstanding by the education watchdog, Ofsted, which graded it as good in its last inspection in December.
