A MIDDLE-aged man has been rushed to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries after falling 30 feet from a town centre pub.
Emergency services were scrambled to The Cricketers in Emlyn Square shortly before 9am to reports of a man in his 50s falling from a window.
He has suffered potentially life threatening head injuries and was conveyed to the Bristol hospital by helicopter.
A spokeswoman for Wiltshire Police said: “This is an ongoing incident. We were called at 8.58am by South West Ambulance Service to The Cricketers pub.
“There were reports a man had fallen 30-feet from a window. He is in his mid-50s and has suffered serious injuries.
“He has been taken to Southmead Hospital.”
A spokeswoman for South West Ambulance Service said: “We were phone at 8.50am to a male reportedly falling from a window.
“We had a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance with an officer as well as the air ambulance.
“He has suffered potentially life threatening injuries.”
