THERE are few travel issues on this drizzly morning although First Great Western services were delayed because of signalling problems at Maidenhead.

There are the usual delays on the southbound carriageway of the A419, primarily between Commonhead roundabout and Junction 15 of the M4.

Slow traffic is reported on the A350 northbound in Chippenham between Bumpers Farm Roundabout and Malmesbury Road Roundabout.

First Great Western said signalling problems at Maidenhead were delaying mainline services and Network Rail engineers are tackling it and it was later reported that services are running as normal.

The 8.01am service from Bristol Parkway to London Paddington ran about 26 minutes late and the 8.09am from Pewsey to Paddington ran about 20 minutes late.

Kristin Hulaas Sunde tweeted: "Rubbish ride on 0809 from Pewsey to Paddington today - full to bursting from Newbury & 20 mins late - no info or reason given."

First Great Western apologised for any inconvenience caused.

At Fratton in Portsmouth a signalling problem led to delays to trains to Wales and to the London stations of Victoria and Waterloo. Passengers travelling with First Great Western, South West Trains and Southern train companies were affected, with some travellers experiencing delays of up to 60 minutes.

The weather is expected to remain overcast with light rain throughout the day, with highs of 6C.
