SWEET fans will be able to pick up an ice cream dessert after two Swindon stores struck a deal.

Maria Jackson, of Short ‘but’ Sweet in The Tented Market, and Hadi Brooks of Rays Ice Cream, in Old Town, have agreed a partnership which will see Rays ice cream sold in the town centre shop.

Short "but" Sweet, a retro sweet shop, is a small, family-run business which opened in August 2014, aiming to deliver all the old favourites from your childhood and bring back some wonderful memories.

Maria said: "We were looking for a quality ice cream to serve in our shop and Rays seemed like a great choice, with their delicious ice cream being made so locally."

The shop also caters for weddings, birthday parties and christenings and anything in between and plan to serve the home made ice cream via a serving to hatch to passers by in Market Street.

Rays Ice Cream was established in Old Town in August 2011 and make all of their ice cream at their Devizes Road premises.

Hadi Brooks, owner of Rays, said: "Since opening we have expanded our business with mobile units catering for weddings, charity events, corporate events and the like.

"We are excited about having our home made ice cream available in the town centre and we are really pleased to be working with Short ‘but’ Sweet."
