NEW Romantic sensation Spandau Ballet will take to the Westonbirt stage for an unmissable concert in July.

The band will join an impressive line-up of performers at Westonbirt Arboretum’s Forest Live including Paloma Faith, Tom Odell and The Vamps on July 11.

One of Britain’s most iconic groups, it has sold more than 25 million records since the late 1970s and scored numerous multi-platinum albums across the globe.

The New Romantic revolutionaries established themselves as one of the super-groups of the 80s with a collection of classic hits such as ‘To Cut A Long Story Short’, ‘Chant No. 1 (I Don’t Need This Pressure On)’, ‘Lifeline’, ‘Gold’, ‘Only When You Leave’, ‘I’ll Fly For You’, ‘Through The Barricades’ and ‘True’.

After two decades apart, the band reformed in 2009, embarking on a sold-out tour. Last year saw the critically acclaimed release of the movie ‘Soul Boys of The Western World’, the first time their story has been documented on film.

Lead singer Tony Hadley said: “We’ve not done a Forest Live gig before so we are really looking forward to seeing you all down in the woods in July.”

Spandau Ballet will be supported by James Walsh on Saturday, July 11.

McBusted have also been announced as the sixth and final headline act to appear at Westonbirt Arboretum this summer.

McBusted formed in 2013 when Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd from McFly teamed up with James Bourne and Matt Willis from Busted. They will close the festival organised by the Forestry Commission on July 12.

Harry Judd said: “We have played Forest Live as McFly and had such a great time so we can’t wait to do it all over again as McBusted”.

Tickets to Spandau Ballet are £46.50. Tickets to McBusted cost £41.50. There will be a £4.15 booking fee. To book call the Forestry Commission box office on 03000 680400 or visit forestry.gov.uk/music.
