Traffic around Outlet Village, Bridgemead and Bruce Street in Swindon was being described as 'stationary' by Thamesdown Transport drivers this evening, causing major delays to some services.

Earlier Thamesdown said that roadworks in the Beechcroft area of Swindon have been completed and service 20 has returned to normal running in the area.

One lane of the M4 was closed due to a collision westbound between Junction 15 (Swindon East) and Junction 16 (Swindon West) this afternoon.

No disruption was reported on train services running through Wiltshire.

  • Met Office meteorologists are forecasting high pressure for much of the Bank Holiday weekend, which means a good deal of dry weather, along with light winds.

Showers are expected on Good Friday but the situation is likely to improve over the weekend.
