POLICE are appealing for information as they seek to trace the owner of a ring found in a car park.

The item was recovered on April 16 by the neighbourhood policing team after it was found in the car park of the Park Farm Sheltered Housing, in Haydon Wick.

The ring is described as a very small and thin yellow gold band, with a tiny green stone surrounded by what appear to be diamonds in a flower pattern.

“The wearer had very slim fingers, or may have been a child,” said a police spokesman.

“This item of jewellery could have been lost any time in the last 12 months.”

Anyone with information should contact PCSO Hare of Wiltshire Police on 101.
