SEVEN vehicles were clamped and two seized as part of a Operation Hornblower day of action.

The North Swindon neighbourhood policing team were out in force working with Tri force, DVLA and traffic police on Friday.

They used their equipment to scan and search for vehicles which were not taxed and took insurance and registered keeper details.

A police spokesman said on their Facebook page: “We have been out checking vehicles with ANPR Automatic Number Plate Recognition looking for vehicles with no tax, insurance and registered keeper details.

"We have also been able to done some intelligence gathering, mobile phone use while driving and red light jumping.

“Results were that the DVLA clamped seven vehicles and seized one and the police seized one car for no insurance.”
