A FIVE-car crash near Chiseldon has caused problems for commuters this morning.

The incident happened at the A346, The Ridgeway, which is partially blocked, causing traffic to back up around the scene.

Emergency services are on the scene, although it is believed the route is now clear.

MEANWHILE, the weather is set to remain bright today, according to forecasters.

A Met Office forecaster said the sunshine would appear once the early morning cloud had dissipated.

"A little cloudy for some at first, but this breaking to allow further warm sunny spells to develop for most," he said.

"Breezy at times with some cloud lingering near the south coast. Maximum temperature 18C."

He said tonight would see the weather turning more cloudy.

"It will be a dry night with lengthy clear spells at first, but it will soon cloud over from the southwest," the forecaster added.

"Winds will remain light. Minimum temperature, 4C."
