Outdoor seating and children’s menu
LOCATED in the centre of Westbury, the White Horse Cafe is in a prime location to attract hungry shoppers and local residents.
There is plenty to choose off the varied menu, from sandwiches and jacket potatoes to more traditional meals such as cottage pie or fish and chips.
I decide to go for a small English breakfast for the price of £3.95 with a large mug of tea costing £1.40.
From the outside the White Horse Cafe looks exactly that, a cafe. But on entering it feels much more like a restaurant with its stylish furnishings and modern feel.
The walls are lined with pictures of John Travolta, Michael Jackson and other world famous celebrities and the shiny wallpaper and decorations are a stark contrast to its somewhat plain outside.
My mug of tea arrives almost immediately after I take my seat in the surprisingly quiet cafe despite it being lunchtime.
My meal follows soon after by the helpful member of staff and for my money I’m given a sausage, slice of bacon, one fried egg plus all the trimming such as beans, mushrooms and toast.
Both the sausage and bacon were cooked perfectly although the fried egg was a little overdone but the plate didn’t feel as though it was awash with grease as some full breakfasts do.
The meal was filling and for less than £2, you can double your portion of sausage, bacon and egg.
Total bill came to £5.35
