TWO Swindon fundraisers have been backed by their employer in raising money ahead of a skydive for MS Trust in June.
On June 27, Jason Mullaney and Bethany Lewis are planning to jump out of a plane which takes off from Honiton, at 10,000ft.
They will fall to the earth at a top speed of 120mph to raise vital funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Trust, one civil engineers J Murphy and Sons has decided to support after a colleague was diagnosed with the disease.
“This is something I have always thought about doing but never got around to it,” said Jason.
“I am both excited and scared at the same time. People keep asking me why would you choose to jump out of a plane.”
Beth, who took part in a skydive in 2011, said: “It was one of the best experiences of my life.
"When the opportunity came up to take part in a skydive and raise money for MS I felt this was a great chance to jump again, while supporting a charity so close to J Murphy and Sons.”
The firm will support the fundraising by holding dress-down days and raffles. Jason and Bethany are just two of many people who will be jumping at Honiton and across the UK as part of the MS Trust’s Jump in June campaign.
