A CHARITY which supports people suffering from chronic neurological conditions is set to benefit from a cash boost from a regional builder.
The Swindon Therapy Centre for Multiple Sclerosis has received £1,000 from Persimmon Homes Wessex to carry on its work to help those suffering from MS.
The donation comes as part of the housebuilder’s Community Champions scheme, which will see £24,000 given out to good causes over the next 12 months.
Sonya Dykes-Brown, centre manager for The Swindon Therapy Centre for Multiple Sclerosis, said: “We are delighted that Persimmon Homes Wessex have chosen to support us.
“The £1,000 will be hugely appreciated by over 500 people including those living with a range of neurological conditions and children with learning difficulties."
Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes Wessex, said the initiative was a way of supporting people across every city, town and village where the company works.
She said: “We are confident this funding will make a huge difference.
“We now want to hear from more groups and charities as we look to allocate more funding over the next month. All we ask is that the group or charity has already worked hard to raise money themselves."
Groups will be chosen every month to receive a match-funding donation.
Community groups can apply by filling out an online form at persimmonhomes.com/charity
