POLICE searching for a missing Swindon woman have found a body in Gloucester.
Julie Peters, 55, of Hamble Road in Moredon, was last seen leaving her home for work on the morning of Tuesday, May 5.
Her red Ford Ka was found in the driveway of her former home in Tuffley Crescent, Gloucester, but there was no sign of Julie.
A body was pulled from a canal near Kaskelot Way in the Monkmill Dock area of Gloucester shortly after midday yesterday.
A Gloucestershire Police officer made the discovery as part of a wider search for Julie in the Glocuester docks area.
The body has not yet been confirmed as that of Julie's, but her next of kin and the coroner have been informed of the development.
The circumstances surrounding the death of the person are not being treated as suspicious.
