THE mastermind behind the Swindon Town mosaic which will dominate the red end of Wembley on Sunday has revealed it will cover blocks 108 to 115.

Jay Collett, the Bath-based web designer behind the mosaic and the streamers for the League One play-off semi-final, confirmed 8,000 supporters in those blocks would lift the bags which make the mosaic.

Despite the best part of 9,000 tickets remaining unsold, the 23-year-old said there would be no gaping holes in the mosaic, with just the odd pair of seats not sold across the eight blocks.

Fans are advised to hold the bags flat above their heads – and shouldn’t miss out on the fruits of their labours.

“There are two giant screens in the stadium and they show what’s on TV,” Jay said.

“I’m pretty sure they will catch it on TV, but if they don’t see it on the day there will be thousands watching it around the world and it will make its way onto Twitter.”

If anyone snaps any pictures of the big screen or of the television coverage at home they can tweet @JayBox325, who will then retweet them all. He will be contributing himself from his seat in block 111.

He’s now hoping he will get the green light for supporters to take the red and white streamers in with them on Sunay.

“We haven’t got official word from Wembley if we are allowed yet. They haven’t got back to me at all,” he said.

“I need to give them a call to chase them up today and see what they say.

“Some people have said they’re going to take some and try to get them in anyway. They’re not dangerous.

"It’s like balloons. They don’t let people in with them because they can cause a mess or get on the pitch, but when they are there they don’t go out of their way to get rid of them.”
