Step Out of the Haze by Bren Haze.

Out now on Haze Music This album is about looking back to see the next step forward. Many of the tracks are about saying a sad farewell, yet looking ahead with hope.

Real kicks off the album with a classic Bren Haze soft rock number, highlighting his gentle, clean vocals over blistering guitar.

Song Number 2 is my personal favourite with its strong beat and gutsy guitar that makes your toes curl. It spreads the warmth of a homecoming, yet is exciting and dangerous at the same time.

Distant Lights is a track made for driving. It gives a sense of life on the road, ships that pass in the night, before the glow of returning home, while Hypnotise is a pretty song with understated guitar, a real grower.

Something New is the the stadium anthem with glittering guitar solo and To The Moon And Back is the ballad reaching out for a love that's now grown cold.

And You Know is a track that is all about trying not to say goodbye, a real showcase for Bren's distinctive vocals, while Colours lives up to its name as a rainbow of musical inspiration.

Goodbye is the cuckoo in the album, a very different song with an almost Celtic feel.

The title track, Step Out Of The Haze, has a Spanish flavour, a sultry sound of Flamenco guitar under velvet skies.

Electric blues and intricate acoustic guitar meld into a rock fusion throughout this album from such a gifted singer/songwriter and guitarist. - Flicky Harrison
