POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was assaulted in Swindon, especially a Good Samaritan who helped her.

A 14-year-old girl was walking along Queens Drive, near Burger King, when she was approached by two girls who assaulted her, causing minor injuries to her face on between 3.30pm and 4pm on Monday, April 13.

The two girls are described as white, aged between 13 and 16.

Police would like to hear from any witnesses to the assault, or anybody who was in the area at the time of the incident.

In particular they would like to speak to a man who stepped in to assist the victim.
