THEY may not have had the impact he wanted, but Swindon barber Guy Awazi was keen to share his pride in being a part of the Swindon Town squad at Wembley.

The 30-year-old Drove Road-based cutter was invited to the squad’s pre-match meal on Saturday night and shared a night with the team in the hotel, giving them all a final trim ahead of kick-off.

On Saturday evening, he used his Instagram page to post a photo of him with the team at the meal in central London.

He said: “I wanna thank the boys at Swindon Town FC for choosing to trust in me to make them look their best for the game tomorrow.

“Wembley I’m very grateful for such an amazing opportunity.

“Thank you for making me feel so comfortable and welcome I had a great time.

“I wish you all the best of luck for the game tomorrow #barberlife #stfc #swindontown #swindon #guyshairsalon #hardwork.”
