MARIACHI El Bronx, The Struts and Twin Peaks are among the latest acts announced for the Reading and Leeds Festivals.

More than 20 names have been added to the bill for the dual festival, which runs across the August Bank Holiday weekend at Richfield Avenue, Reading and Bramham Park, Leeds.

The fresh acts will join already-announced headliners Metallica, The Libertines and Mumford and Sons at the festivals.

Mariachi El Bronx is the alter ego of punksters The Bronx - who will also perform on The Pit/Lock Up stage, with new additions Bo Ningen, Skinny Lister, As It Is and No Devotion.

Electro popstress Shura will be drawing in the crowds on BBC/NME Radio 1 Stage, where The Struts and Twin Peaks will appear.

Joining the bill on the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage are Australian Hayden James, German deep-house wizard Ferdinand Weber, a very special DJ set from DJ Fresh, Irish favourites Riptide Movement, live electronic duo Maribou State, pop starlet Petite Meller and The Six.

Meanwhile, the BBC Radio 1Xtra Stage bill has been boosted by Remi Mileswill, rap success story Young Thug and DJ duoStar.

The Festival Republic Stage has Sunset Sons, Neon Waltz, Spring King, Seether and The Last Internationale added.
