POWERHOUSE queen Paloma Faith will make a triumphant return to Westonbirt tomorrow to open the Forest Live music festival.

The pop singer was the first act to join the Forestry Commission's summer concerts series.

Her third album A Perfect Contradiction was one of the huge success stories of 2014 and her fastest selling album to date, scoring hit singles with Only Love Can Hurt Like This and Can't Rely On You. As a side project she notched up her first number one collaborating with British drum and bass duo Sigma on the single Changing.

"I am so excited to do the forest tour," she said. "I did it before and had such a wonderful time. We are very lucky in Britain to have such a beautiful and diverse landscape and I am excited to play for you there again."

On Sunday, it will be The Vamps' turn to rouse the crowds at the arboretum.

Brad Simpson, James McVey, Connor Ball and Tristan Evans met via their respective YouTube channels and soon formed a pop band.

Last year their meteoric rise to fame was consolidated with sold-out tour dates and the release of their debut album Meet The Vamps, a collection of pop-party anthems.

Paloma Faith's show is sold out. To book tickets for The Vamps' performance go to forestry.gov.uk/music or call the Forestry Commission box office on 03000 680400.
