FOLLOWING delays on the Swindon to Gloucester line because of a bicycle on the line there are no problems reported on the railway network.

The A350 West Cepen Way at Chippenham, between Morrisons and the Bumpers Farm, was partly reopened by 4.45pm after an accident this afternoon.

Traffic was slow on roads leading to Glastonbury Festival today.

Meanwhile it has been revealed that part of the A303 in Wiltshire, which was resurfaced only four months ago, is to be laid again.

Work was carried out on the A303 east of Stonehenge, between the Countess Roundabout and Cholderton, in February but Highways England said today stone used in the original scheme was "contaminated with low quality materials".

Overnight roadworks on the five-mile (8km) stretch will begin on Tuesday, June 30, and last until July 18.

Highways England project manager Paul Vosper said: "We sincerely apologise to our customers for the disruption these additional works will cause, but it's vitally important the surfacing on this busy main route is replaced quickly to ensure safe and reliable journeys for many years to come."

The repairs are to be paid for by the suppliers.
