BOUNCY castle fans can jump on the opportunity to test some of England’s biggest inflatables when they return to Swindon this weekend.

The Inflatable Theme Park, run by Stroud businessman Angus Pedrick, will set up camp at Swindon Rugby Club, in Greenbridge Road, this weekend.

The one-of-a-kind attraction, which features the biggest bouncy castles in England, is set to have youngsters jumping for joy.

Mr Pedrick, who has been working on fairgrounds all his life, but only set up the inflatable theme park two years ago, said the park brings something unique to Swindon.

“There’s something for everyone here to enjoy, the kids love going on this bouncy castles and can’t quite believe the size of them,” he said.

“Anyone from the age of two to 14 can have a go on them and the parents can stick to the bar at the rugby club whilst they watch the kids have a laugh.”

Bouncy castles are known for being at the forefront of children’s birthday parties, but the inflatable theme park will include some unusual attractions.

There will be a 100ft Noah’s Ark style play centre, a 30ft high inflatable helter skelter, an enclosed inflatable dome, along with gigantic slides and castles.

The inflatables will occupy a 400ft stretch of land.

There will also be snacks, ice-creams, confectionary, candy floss, doughnuts and a bar for grown-up customers to enjoy.

Angus said: “There is a fun-fair carnival type atmosphere here and I’m always excited to see the attractions come to life.

“It’s not often that something like this comes about, so I’m looking forward to it.

“One of the highlights is seeing everyone’s faces, the youngsters to the parents, to the elderly, they are all amazed by the sheer size of the attractions. It was my love of inflatables as a child that inspired me to put this event on.

“It is rare that people nowadays go somewhere for a day out and come away thinking that was brilliant and not feeling ripped off”.

The inflatable theme park opens from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are priced £6 for an all-day wristband, with children aged between two and 14 able to go on the attractions.

Accompanying adults that wish to supervise can enter the park for free.
