Meet a very special tractor, pick your own strawberries and pet the animals... there’s plenty for families to do down on the farm

CHILDREN'S farmyard hero Little Grey Fergie will wreak a little havoc at Lotmead Farm this weekend.

The friendly tractor has been a cultural phenomenon in Norway since 1995, captivating the imagination of little ones across Scandinavia and beyond. After several television series, two films, ten music albums, live shows, and more than fifteen books, Fergie is preparing to return to England with a pit stop in Wiltshire.

“We’re really pleased that Lotmead Farm has been chosen as one of the venues for the Little Grey Fergie UK tour," said John Meaden, Lotmead Farm manager. "Everything we do here is about family fun and Fergie is definitely that! We’ve even got our own permanent little grey tractor in the play area.

“We’re all really looking forward the weekend and we can’t wait to see how much kids will love Fergie and all of his friends. This is just one of the great events taking place every weekend until mid-July at Lotmead. Fingers crossed for sunshine!”

Fergie's little show on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 is ideal for children between three and six years old. They will get to know him throughout the day, with lots of fun to enjoy, and meet his good friends Farmer George and Gramps.

Lotmead will open from 9.30am to 7.00pm, with Fergie getting up to his antics at two different live shows each performed twice on both days at 12pm, 1pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

The Pick Your Own will be open as usual. Entry is free. There is a nominal charge of £1 per person, with free entry for toddlers, for the small animal enclosure, dairy parlour and trail walk, however families can buy a season ticket for unlimited visits throughout the summer for just £10.
