EXACTLY 50 years ago, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles and Stevie Wonder and the Temptations crossed the Atlantic for a UK-wide tour which would propel them to fame on our shores.
To mark the occasion, The Magic of Motown will revive their timeless classics in the 2015 Reach Out Tour at the Wyvern next month.
Direct from the USA, the production will pack scores of chart-topping hits from the Temptations, Four Tops, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder and many more into the two-hour spectacular.
Sixties classics will also give way to present-day masterpieces from Lionel Richie and Diana Ross.
“Sadly, many of the original singing legends are either no longer with us or no longer touring," said show producer Michael Taylor. "The Magic of Motown is the nearest you’ll get to authentically capturing their incredible musical legacy in a live show. Our young cast is able to reflect the exuberance and excitement of these songs as they were originally performed."
The Magic of Motown will come to Wyvern on July 10 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £25. To book call 01793 524481 or email swindontheatres.co.uk.
