A 16-year-old boy from the Moredon area has appeared in court for sentencing after admitting that he broke into the Haydon Court sheltered housing complex in Haydon Wick.
The teenager also pleaded guilty to another burglary at Kidz About, West Swindon, possession of cannabis and breaching his anti-social behaviour order.
At Swindon Youth Court on Tuesday he was sentenced to a youth rehabilitation order, with intense supervision and surveillance.
He will be under a curfew for 91 days and will have to stay at home between 8pm and 7am daily, he will be electronically monitored with a tag to ensure he compiles with this punishment.
The offender has also been sentenced to take part in community reparation work, so will have to carry out 12 days of service in the local area under supervision.
