One lane of the southbound carriageway of the A419 near Cricklade has been re-opened following a two-vehicle car crash this afternoon.
An 80-year-old driver of one of the vehicles was rushed to the Great Western Hospital with neck and chest injuries, while a woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The Wiltshire Air Ambulance was called but has now left.
Police were called at 2.45pm following reports of the incident which involved a Ford Mondeo and a Renault Clio.
Both lanes of the road were closed down while police clear the scene leading to queues of traffic stretching back several miles.
