TICKET buyers can expect the biggest and best attractions yet at the 10th edition of Emergency Services Show.

Ten thousand people attended last year’s event and for the landmark edition on September 13 this year, tickets for which went on sale yesterday, organisers are expecting even more to flock to Hullavington Airfield.

One of the new features the committee is keen to highlight this year is the new E-ticketing system, which has been designed in order to limit the long queues which dogged last year’s event.

Among the top attractions already arranged, are two of the Breitling Wingwalkers, who will provide an aerobatic display on the day.

There will also be the traditional 999 attractions, with adults and children able to travel in police cars and fire engines. There will also be a monster truck for people to ride in and a live crash display, designed to illustrate how all the emergency services work together in a crisis.

A spokesman said: “We put all this on because we want to interact with all members of the public about what we do and, teach them about being safe and inspire them.

“So many young people are inspired by what they see the blue lights services doing and this kind of show can help keep their interest and for the future.

“This show also helps us to raise money for the charities which help to support the blue lights services.”

The fundraising side of the show is very important to organisers, who managed to turn over more than £30,000 to a number of charities supporting the services last year.

To work within the e-ticketing system, you have to purchase your tickets online, print them off and bring them to the show.

To avoid queuing on the day buy tickets before hand. Your tickets will have a QR code on so when you get to the gate they just have to be scanned.

This means you have more time to enjoy the event instead of queuing and fussing with money.

Tickets are priced at £6.50 per adult, £3.50 per child (under threes go free) and can be purchased at www.emergencyservicesshow.com or on the gate.
