TOWN CENTRE: Bobby Tilling, who kicked his victim when he was on the ground during an assault has been warned he could be facing jail.

The 24-year-old, of Wills Avenue, punched and kicked the man during the incident on Friday, December 5, last year and pleaded guilty to a charge of causing actual bodily harm when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to Thursday, July 16, so a pre-sentence report can be prepared and released him on bail but warned him he could face prison.

A man who admitted assault and driving without insurance or a licence has been fined a total of £550 and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points.

Jonathan Richens, of Redcliffe Street, has also been made to pay £85 costs after pleading guilty to the offences, which occurred on April 11.

Brothers accused of assault and intimidation have been referred to the youth offender panel after admitting the charges.

A 13-year-old admitted threatening violence in Park North on January 26, and was given a three-month referral order. A 14-year-old admitted assault in the same incident and has been handed a six-month referral order.

A man accused of criminal damage, threatening violence and assault has been sent to Crown Court to answer the charges.

Lee Fitchett, 32, of Linden Avenue, is said to have committed all offences on June 22, including smashing a front door, damaging a Clio car and assaulting a woman. He will return to court on July 17.

A woman accused of assault at the Hilton Hotel in West Swindon will stand trial after denying the offence.

Thea Mary-Lee Mackie, 25, of Cleveland Way, is said to have assaulted Lisa Bray while at the hotel on December 19, and is also charged with driving on Great Western Way without due care and attention the same day.

Ms Mackie was released on conditional bail not to contact Ms Bray or enter Audi in Swindon until the trial, on September 29.

A man found driving on the M4 without insurance or a test certificate has been disqualified from driving for six months.

Neil Bridgman, 35, of Pasteur Drive, was caught driving a Hyundai Coupe along the motorway on February 24. He was also fined £200.
