FORECASTERS are predicting a warm and largely dry day in Swindon and across Wiltshire today.

The Met Office prediction is for sunny spells through some cloud to beign with, before better conditions later in the day.

A forecaster said: "It will be a fine and dry start to the day with some sunny spells breaking through the cloud.

"As we move into the afternoon there will be a good deal of blue sky."

He said there would be a cool northerly breeze, with temperatures reaching around  17C.

Tonight he said temperatures could dip into single figures.

"There will be largely clear skies overnight, this will lead to temperatures in rural spots dipping down to single figures," he said.

And tomorrow looks set to be dry, he added, with temperatures set to reach around 19C.

MEANWHILE, on the road, there are no reports of any major delays in Wiltshire and beyond.
