MUSEUMS in Swindon are laying down a quiz challenge for young people.

The town’s five museums are hosting a special quiz trail throughout the summer holidays which is aimed at bringing a history of innovation and creativity to life.

And youngsters completing the quiz over get a chance to win one of five exclusive goody bags.

The competition sees the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery, Lydiard House and Park, Museum of Computing, Richard Jefferies Museum and Steam: Museum of the Great Western Railway, working together to celebrate the town’s history of innovation and creativity Helping coordinate the event.

Simon Webb, from the Museum of Computing, said: “Visiting all five museums bring Swindon’s story to life; one that’s as much about artists and writers as engineers and inventors.

"The quizzes are a fun way to experience that and an interesting activity for families over the school holidays.”

Prizes for the five goody bags have been donated by each museum. To enter the free prize draw, visitors complete a quiz sheet at each museum and take it to the front desk in return for a secret word.

Send all five words from all five museums to innovation5@swindon.gov.uk or write the answers on a postcard with your name, email address and telephone number and hand in at any of the museums taking part.
